Beginners Lesson

This lesson is for everyone no matter how long they’ve been dancing. If you’re a beginner this is where you’ll get the basics and for the more experienced dancer this is where you can work on adding style to your basic beginners moves and help/meet the new dancers.

Beginners Consolidation

This class if for people who’ve been dancing for 6 weeks or less but is also good if you’ve been dancing a bit longer but are finding the Intermediate one lesson difficult to get right. In the consolidation lessons you’ll get much more individual help and feedback to help you progress in your dancing. This lesson is a smaller group and you’re all beginners. The Taxi dancers that take this lesson will spend time going through the moves of the beginners lesson and, if there’s time, will teach another move or two as well.

Intermediate Lesson

This is for people who’ve been dancing around 6 weeks or more – sometimes less! The Taxi dancer that takes your beginners lesson will tell you when you’re ready to move up to the Intermediate 1 lesson. The Intermediate 1 lesson is where you’ll be taught the hundreds of moves available to the Modern Jiver – each week you’ll be taught a routine with three or four of these moves and it’s surprising how quickly these moves build up to a varied and exciting level.
